At Peartree Spring Primary School we are committed to supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our children and staff.
We have a supportive and caring ethos and our approach is to establish a school culture where everyone is respected and all are deeply valued.
At our school we know that everyone experiences life challenges that make us vulnerable and at times, anyone may need additional emotional support. We take the view that mental wellbeing is everyone’s business and that we all have a role to play.

Five Ways To Wellbeing
These are 5 steps you can take to improve your mental health and wellbeing. Trying these things could help you feel more positive and able to get the most out of life.
Go for a walk or a run. Cycle, dance or play a game. Go to the park. Try a new activity.
Do something nice for a friend. Thank someone.Smile. Volunteer your time. Raise money for charity. Be a good role model.
Spend time with the people that make you smile. Write a letter or call someone you’ve not spoken to for a while.
Take time to be still, reflect and take some deep breaths. Notice what you’re thinking and be aware of the world around you.
Set yourself a goal. Learn something new – a new word or random fact. Try a new hobby.
Saying #HelloYellow this World Mental Health Day is a little thing we can do to make a BIG difference to young people’s mental health.
Because a little yellow goes a long way.
